How Novartis Created Their Knowledge Management Strategy

Recently, knowledge management has been elevated to a global level at Novartis. They have secured executive-level sponsorship from the highest levels of senior management and have made significant progress in their knowledge management strategy, framework, and roadmap. During APQC's 2023 Conference, Barry Byrne, Global Head of Knowledge Management Strategy at Novartis, set up an internal KM Community of Practice, which has grown to over 180 associates who meet monthly to discuss challenges, opportunities, progress, and KM technologies. His presentation discussed how the Novartis community, combined with the APQC KM CAT results woven into their message, helped them secure a connection with their executive sponsor.
